Grandpa and Grandma visit from Kansas!

Jacob's parents came for a visit from Kansas last week.  It was so great to see them since we hadn't seen them in over a year when Claire was 4 months old.  Claire absolutely adored her grandparents and LOVED all the special attentions they gave her.  She was sad when they left; she kept knocking on the door of the room they stayed in and held her arms out asking "Where did they go?"

Claire loved being chased by her grandma and teased by grandpa. :)  She also wanted to climb up on our chairs all the time since all of us were sitting on the chairs.  That caused a bit of a problem because she wouldn't eat her food very well because she just wanted to get out of her high chair and join us at the table.

Of course we had to tour all the famous Kirtland Church History sites!  The family at the Whitney Store.

Claire loved sitting on this bridge and watching the water rush by below.  It was a little scary letting her get so close to the edge.

We also went to Lake Erie twice and walked around a bit.  Claire loved the birds, but we didn't stay too long because it was chilly.  We also went out to dinner and found a new Italian restaurant that I would love to go back again, thanks for finding it Bob!  Here is some info on Bada Bing Pizza.  Debbie and I also won a rousing battle of 4-deck (a card game), 2 games to 1.  Though the boys really kicked our trash that one game they won. :)  We loved having Jacob's parents visit and we hope to see them before another year passes by.  Thanks for making the trip to see us!
