10 Months

Our ClaireBear is now 10 1/2 months old.  She continues to to brighten our lives and bring us so much joy and laughter.  Here are a few fun facts about Claire:

-Loves her puppy dog.  Lately she has been really interested in the stuffed dog and hugging it often.
-Claire LOVES books.  She loves to have me read to her and she will turn the pages.  Often Claire will sit down with a bunch of books to turn the pages and look at pictures.  This can keep her occupied for at least 15 minutes to a half hour...awesome for me!!
-Claire is refusing to eat many pureed baby foods except green beans.  Once in a while I can get her to eat squash or carrots, but she seems to just want to eat what Jacob and I eat.  I have been letting her eat many more foods that we do.  Here are some she tried and loved (especially because we were eating them too):  avocado, chicken (from Chick-fil-a), refried beans, black beans, edemame-she ate these up, pepperoni, and macaroni. Still can't get her to eat many fruits, even if we eat them.
-Claire has grown one top middle tooth and the outside incisor.  She looks like a kid who got a tooth knocked out.  Her other middle tooth is on its way down and she lets me know it.  She is in a lot of pain at times.  Claire will be fine and then just freak out all of the sudden, crying and flailing like she is throwing a fit, and then bite whatever she can, usually her arm or the couch.  Poor thing...  Here is the best picture I could get of the one middle tooth.

-Occasionally Claire will sleep 11 or 11.5 hours at night uninterrupted.  It is heaven for Jacob and I. :)  Typically she will sleep 10 - 10.5 hours.
-Claire loves to shake her head, like shaking it "no".  She just randomly started doing it one day.  Sometimes she shakes her head so fast she almost falls over.  So funny!!  The video below shows her opening and closing her eyes and shaking her head.  The head shake even isn't as intense as it usually is.

-Claire still loves baths and swimming.  She is an excellent splasher.
-She is loving a music toy we bought used for 9 bucks!  The best investment.  Claire will push the buttons over and over and bounce to the music.
-Claire loves being chased by daddy.  Jacob will growl at her and she will crawl as fast as possible to get away.  She laughs so hard trying to get away and when caught.  Mommy sometimes helps to "protect" her.  It's the best game!
