Valentine's Day

We had a very chill, but nice Valentine's Day yesterday.  Jacob worked late and then had to tutor and study for school.  I felt bad he had to be so busy on this lover's day!  I thought of so many fun and creative things Claire and I could have done to celebrate Valentine's Day together during the day, but I thought of them too late...like the day of.  I didn't have the ingredients or supplies to do most of the things I thought of.  I'll have to plan ahead better next year.

Claire's Valentine outfit on Sunday!

She looked super cute if I do say so myself. :)

Claire and Daddy!  I don't know whats up with her face, she really was happy.

I made meatloaf in the shape of a heart to celebrate!
It looks kinda gross, but I promise it was yummy.

The BEAUTIFUL flowers Jacob had delivered.

An "I love you because..." wall for Jacob.  I did something like this on our very first Valentine's Day when we were dating at BYU.

We got Claire a little present of play-dough for V-day!  I am excited to try it out today because she loves to try and squish her food, so hopefully the play-dough will work for that.  She also received two Valentine cards, one from Jacob's parents with a cute kitty and one from her cousin, Evie.  She loved to open them and look at the pictures inside.  I got Jacob a brand-new poof ball for the shower.  How romantic and thoughtful, huh? jk, lol!  We are supposed to go on a date this weekend to really celebrate, I hope it works out!

p.s. My baby is 18 months old today!  I just can't believe how quickly life has gone by and how much Claire has grown.  We love her more than anything.

  1. Claire really did look SOOO adorable at church! Good idea to give her playdough to squish, so when she starts squishing food, you can say, "save your squishing urges for playdough time." =)

  2. Sounds like a fun Valentine's day you all had. I too was a little late with planning things this year but we had a good day anyways.
Claire looks so cute in her Valentine's day dress.
I hope Jacob is enjoying school!
