Where we are right now

I have been a terrible blogger the last few months!  It is hard to find time for "extras" while managing 3 little ones.  Claire and Tommy are actually super helpful, but it is still difficult to do all that needs to be done!  I figured I am so behind that I will start where we are right now and hopefully find time to fill in the past few months later.

Here is Little Linc at 4 months!
He is a super smiley and happy baby overall.  Lincoln has found his voice and loves to say ahhh, grrrr, and sing.  I brought him to ward council the other Sunday because Jacob had to practice for ward choir and had the other two kids.  I thought Lincoln would be easy and just sit there, but he decided to talk and babble the whole time.  It was so distracting and no binky or toy in the mouth helped.  Lincoln must have thought he would exercise his vocal chords while he could actually hear himself.  Tommy and Claire usually make enough noise for all of us! :)

Lincoln loves to smile and see Claire and Tommy.  If he is fussy I can just ask Claire and Tommy to go talk to Lincoln and he will be happy again in no time.  Lincoln loves his feet and grabs on to them any chance he gets!  He is a drool-er and I have to switch what end I put his head at in his crib so the opposite end can dry.  Linc loves to grab onto toys and puts pretty much anything in his mouth.  He is an expert at rolling onto his tummy from his back, but has difficulty getting from his back to his tummy and sure lets us know when he is mad about being on his tummy for too long.

Lincoln is overall a great sleeper at night.  He sleeps 10-11 hours at night, sometimes without a sound and sometimes I have to put his binky in a time or two.  His naps aren't all that great, but he takes 3 naps and they are usually around 2 hours.

We love this girl so much!  There is too much to say about Claire.  She is an amazing helper with Lincoln and Tommy and is able to take on a lot of responsibility.  Claire loves to help Tommy with little things like peeling off stickers and washing his hands.  Claire is a great cleaner and loves to organize her room and the toy room.  Claire loves to color, sing, and dance.  She sings so loudly in primary that all the other teachers look at me and smile because she is so adorable.  Claire started a tap/ballet dance class a few weeks ago and loves it so far.  I'm going to let her choose to continue in dance or try soccer in the fall.  Claire is going to kindergarten in a few weeks!  I am so excited and anxious about it, all at the same time.  Claire can't wait to go and I am sure she will do great.  I don't know what I am going to do without my little helper all day and I hope she stays just as sweet as she is right now.

Tommy is just as intense and sweet as ever!  We are always working with him to control his emotions and handle himself properly.  Tommy can be just the sweetest boy, loving to sit by Lincoln and "play" with him and give us kisses and hugs.  He gets upset if Jacob or I leave without many of those kisses and hugs!  Tommy does great in nursery, except sometimes there is another boy there who they don't quite get along...sharing toys is difficult!  He still loves cars, trucks, and trains!  I love hearing him shout, "Mom, LOOK at that semi-truck!"  He is into all things with wheels.  Tommy will be 3 in two months, people always think he is older than he is.  I think it is because he has a sturdy stature and speaks so well.  Tommy also enjoys to sing.  It is so fun to hear him singing songs that he learns in nursery and with the family.  At church today he was singing BINGO was his name-o to our hymn.  Pretty cute kid!  Tommy is also doing pretty well on potty training.  I know if I buckled down and was consistent about it, he would be potty trained in no time.  It is just hard for me to be consistent right now, so we go on the potty when we can.  So far it works for me and Tommy.  I will really work on potty training when Claire is in school.  This kid is a joy and there is nothing better than hearing him say, "I love you too, mommy".

My three adorable kiddos!  Overall, Claire and Tommy play together so well and I am so happy they have built-in best friends.  I'm sure Lincoln will join right in as soon as he can!  We have our ups and downs with not listening, fighting over toys, and all other kid issues, but I'll take the problems if I get to be the mommy to these great kids.  They have such special and kind spirits.  I am thankful to know them, to have a window into their hearts and minds.  I am lucky to have the privilege to raise these children of God.  I am doing my best and I hope it is enough!
