Avery Christmas Party!

We always LOVE the Avery Christmas party for Jacob's work!  The kids have such a blast running around looking at everything and they love the presents they get to pick out and other ones to open.  It was so fun that both of the kids could understand what we were doing and were so excited to go to the party.  Avery asks for food donations, so we are always happy to bring some non-perishable items as well.

Tommy  and Claire thought the welcome nutcrackers were pretty amazing.

The kids have been obsessed with the Mr. Grinch song and movie so they were ecstatic to see Mr. Grinch in the snow globe.

We told Tommy there would be an animal show at the party and he could not wait to see the animals.  The show has unusual animals like snakes, porcupines, and other animals you don't see very often.  Tommy is so cute cheesing it up with Daddy!

The kids did great with Santa, though they both were just a bit unsure of what was going on.  I prepped Tommy and told him all he had to do was sit on Santa's lap, smile, and take a picture and then he could get off.  He did great!  So much better than the screaming child from last year.  Claire was fine, but didn't want to answer Santa's question of what she wanted for Christmas.  I guess I forgot to ask her what she wanted too so she didn't know it was a possibility to ask for something.

Tommy has been a fan of Thomas the Train so they loved this blow-up Thomas.  Tommy is impossible to get to look at the camera long enough to snap a picture!

Tommy LOVED his Santa balloon hat and wore it a lot at home.  Jacob told him to say, ho ho ho, so he did that whenever he put it on, super cute!  He picked out that stuffed car and was so happy.

Claire had a balloon snowman that she adored and she picked out that stuffed flying horse.  It is a great toy to pretend with.  She is showing off her painted flower.

The party also had blow-up houses and obstacle courses which the kids loved.  There were a bunch of crafts for the kids to do, but we didn't have time, so they let me take the crafts home.  It was fun to do a ready-made Christmas craft every few days with the kids.  We are already looking forward to next year!
