Christmas Eve and presents!

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun for our family.  We have the tradition of going to the Church Historic Site's Nativity display every Christmas Eve.  The kids really enjoyed looking at the nativity scenes and especially loved the kid room where they could touch and play with nativity items.  Jacob and I were impressed at how excited the kids got to look at all the baby Jesus figurines and were actually interested in what we were doing this year.
Here is a cute family picture at the Nativity display!

We wanted to see a few Christmas lights so I found out about a house that had synchronized music and lights for Christmas near our home.  The show was about 15 minutes long and was really fun to watch.   Tommy and Claire fell in-love with the old Mr. Grinch movie this year so they were thrilled the Mr. Grinch song was one of the songs played.  We went home for a quick dinner and baths and the kids got to open their Christmas jammies!  Snowmen this year!  They were both super excited.

We couldn't end the night before leaving a plate of cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.  Claire really understood about Santa this year and learned a lot about the traditions in pre-school.  Thus Tommy understands so much more than Claire did at that age since she is around to teach and talk about Santa.

Christmas Morning!!  Claire and Tommy got to open their stockings before breakfast.  Then Julia and Jon came over to eat breakfast and watch the kids open presents!  The kids loved their gifts and we felt very blessed and happy.
