We had a chill, but nice 4th of July this year. We just hung out at home on the 4th and went to Jacob's coworker's party the next evening. We did talk about what the 4th of July is and about how it is our nation's birthday, but I don't know how much they really understood this year.
Jacob bought some fireworks that snap when you throw them on the ground. The kids loved throwing the snaps and hearing the sound!
We have gone to Jacob's coworker's big 4th of July party for several years now. We had a great time mingling with people, eating food, and letting the kids run around. They had Jungle Terry come again to do an animal show for the kids. Jungle Terry is a fantastic and entertaining show for the kids. Claire and Tommy loved it and were not scared of the animals!

Jungle Terry really does a great job keeping the kids interested and engaged.
For the 2nd year, Claire got to ride the turtle! I'm sure he chose her again because she is petite and calm with the animals. Claire thought it was so cool to ride the turtle again.
