4th Anniversary

So...Jacob and I had our 4th Anniversary yesterday and only today I realized that I didn't even think to blog about it.  That is particularly lame as I tend to blog about our sweet baby all the time and she wouldn't even be here if we didn't get married 4 years ago.  Maybe I did not think to blog about because we didn't do anything too special for it.  I thought that being so boring would come around on like the 7th Anniversary, but the 4th?!  Come on?!  Hopefully we will be able to go out on a date soon or something to celebrate for reals.....but here is what we did do.

I wrote Jacob a very sweet letter detailing the day of our wedding and he wrote me a sweet email from work back.  He brought home 2 dozen roses, pink and red.  VERY beautiful!  I cooked one of his favorite dinners and then we watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  I got Jacob a $50 gift card for $25 to Gap (thanks for the info britni!) and he got me some shoes I had previously picked out in Utah.  We took out trash and put Claire to bed.  Jacob had only gotten a few hours of sleep the night before so he went to bed soon after we talked a bit.  I guess it's pretty much a normal day in our lives.  I'm thinking that I need some shooting stars, romance, fireworks and surprise to really celebrate.  But why does shooting stars, romance, fireworks and surprise cost so much?  Even just getting a babysitter seems to cost a fortune these days?  ...sigh....

Here are some pictures of that special day 4 years ago when Jacob and I were married for time and all eternity.  Don't we look so young?!

  1. Hey, we would have loved to babysit for you! I've never seen Lo happier than when he's playing with *(watching) Claire!

Is that $25/$50 deal still on? I totally forgot to do it!

  2. ps. Congrats on 4 years, and you don't look any different to me now than in those wedding shots. Jacob might have aged a bit, but not you. ;)
