Tommy at 18 - 20 months!

Tommy is getting so big I can hardly believe it!  He is now 20 months and he has changed a lot in the last few months.  The main thing to change is his verbal vocabulary.  He really says quite a few words and I think that almost anyone could understand them.  One thing he likes to do is add a "y" to the end of words so it becomes, cuppy or grapy.  Here are some of the words he says: cup, grape, car, truck, color, ball, sorry, help, please, dada, mama, cookie, break, owie, no, ya, snack, cracker, hello, bye, tree, fly, play, sock, bonk, amen, milk, uh-oh, bus, train, and all done.  Tommy calls Claire, Claire-bear in the most adorable voice.  He says a few sentences and phrases like, I want that, my do-do (car), my dada, and it fell down. He signs just a few things now since he talks so much.

One thing Tommy is learning quite well is his colors!  He has blue and yellow down pretty well and is working on the others.  He says blue and yellow in seriously THE CUTEST voice.

No matter if Tommy gets an owie that is big or small all he needs is a kiss from me or Jacob to make it better.  I know if he runs over saying bonk, all he wants is a kiss on where he got hurt.  Tommy is learning to sit on his knees with his arms folded at family prayer time. Tommy still adores Claire, he loves to play with her and copy everything she does.  Sometimes it is great and sometimes it is aggravating depending on what Claire is doing. :)

Tommy loves to put things on this head!  Claire has some crocheted beanies and whenever he sees one he asks me to put it on him.  

This is quite the look mister!

Any time Tommy hears a lawn mower, garbage truck, train, car, or airplane he runs to the window to see whatever it is!  He seriously will just stand there and watch whatever is moving.

Tommy LOVES playing with his cars on this race track.  He spends hours playing by himself sending the cars down the track.  Tommy also will carry the cars around the house to where ever I am at.  You should hear him freak out when he can't get all the cars he wants to carry up the stairs. :)

Tommy is a little hoarder.  He finds all the toys he can and will stuff them into a bag, truck, or shopping cart.  He gets so mad when he can't fit everything he wants.

Tommy is doing better with his temper, but it is always a work in progress.  He can be such a sweetheart giving hugs and saying hi to everyone he sees. He is a great eater most of the time and isn't too picky except he wants everything in small bites.  Tommy just loves to show us things that he is excited about, he will run over to us jabbering in an excited voice and point to whatever it is he wants to show us.  We just love this little guy!
