Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent at my cousin Emily and her husband Christian's house.  She is the daughter of my aunt and uncle we stayed with.  Her cute family was so good to us.  There was an amazing dinner, a sing along, a Nativity story, and a white-elephant gift exchange.  We may use some of these traditions for our own family!

Claire and Mommy before dinner.  I'm sure Claire was looking at this horse they let into the house...just kidding!  It was a really adorable, but HUGE, black lab named Mia.  She was super friendly and sweet.  Claire would get sooo excited whenever the dog would come close and would scream with delight.  It was cute the first few times, but the screaming really got out of hand after a while.  I could not figure out how to help her to lower the volume on her excitement. :)

Emily had all the kids act out the Nativity scene.  It really was adorable and the kids did a great job. 

 

She even had Claire be an angel.  The wings and star were so cute.  Claire wasn't very good at staying in place, especially with that dog moving around.  :)
