I was so impressed with the turn-out for the shower. We invited mostly women from our church and I was a little concerned how many ladies would know Chelsea and want to come because she only moved here in August. Chelsea must have made friends quickly because we had around 17 ladies attend. We love our ward family and we had such a great time visiting, eating, playing games, and of course...opening presents! Here are a few pictures of the fun event!
Super cute and amazing diaper cake Courtney made. She got a lot of compliments on it!
Welcome Baby Nay sign and yummy food table. We had quiche, crepes, fruit tray, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and orange/mango juice. All delicious!!
Some of the wonderful ladies who came.
More of the wonderful ladies and Chelsea!
Chelsea before opening her presents. This baby got hooked up! :)
Starting to open the gifts...
Our super fun girl/mommy gang. Lindsay, Courtney, Chelsea, and Me!
Favors for the guests. Each box had a cupcake inside. Chelsea and Courtney helped me do the tags and ribbon.
Flower petal cupcakes. This picture doesn't look as great as they did in real life. :)
We also did a few very fun games. I did baby concentration with corresponding candy (i.e. find the matching word of "umbilical cord" got you a licorice rope) and Courtney did a name that baby food smelling game. We also did a few guess the number of candies in bottles. The shower was so much fun and I am so glad Chelsea and Riley moved here! Now I just can't wait to meet their baby!
