Brent, my brother Eric, and Jacob were so great to be willing to get in the water with the kiddos. The cousins had a blast playing in the water even though the water was freezing.

My bro Eric, Claire and I in the middle, and Jacob in the back going for a canoe ride. We got some huge waves to rock over from the ski boats going by. This was Claire's 1st time in a canoe, she enjoyed it for a few minutes, then she was ready to be done.

We should have brought some sand toys, but luckily Claire had a blast making some new friends and playing with all their sand toys. We need to go to Lake Erie soon so she can play in the sand. She seriously loves it!

We went to go take a peek at the Hauser Dam where tons of water was being let over the dam since Montana had record rainfall this year. Every gate was open with water rushing over. A picture of the siblings minus one sister! Me, Beth, Eric, and Julia.

Toward the end of our trip we went to Black Sandy Beach this time so that we could roast marshmallows. Here is Claire's first bite of a smore. She wasn't the biggest fan, but did like biting on a single marshmallow for a while. Brent and Beth introduced us to a new kind of smore that is delicious: saltine crackers, peanut butter, chocolate, and marshmallow. You should try it!
A favorite pastime of all the grandkids at the lake was to throw rocks in the water. Not sure why that is so fun, but they all loved it! Here is Olivia, little Jacob, big Jacob, and Claire doing just that.
